
Sator backs Extrabanca
Sator private equity has made an initial €15m investment in independent bank Extrabanca, securing a 38.9% stake.
Sator is currently the company's largest shareholder. Other shareholders include Fondazione Cariplo (4.2%), Amenduni (4%) and Generali (3.3%).
The investment is part of a long-term plan to grow the bank in the Italian market, including the opening of a further 38 branches in Italy by 2018.

Founded in 2010 and based in Milan, Extrabanca offers financial and banking services primarily to foreign citizens living in Italy. Extrabanca currently has branches in Milan and Bresica and employs 34 members of staff, representing 13 different nationalities.
