
Assietta acquires Pamfood
Assietta Private Equity has acquired a 90% stake in Ligurian speciality food producer Pamfood from the Maggiali family.
The remaining 10% stake is split between the Maggiali family, which retains 7.3% of the firm, and the management team.
The investment was made through the vehicle Fondo Dimensione Impresa, which focuses on Italian SMEs with a turnover of €15-50m. Investments made from the €50.1m vehicle are usually between €3-8m.
The deal follows APE's recent investment in gnocchi producer Patamore. According to APE, the two recently-acquired portfolio companies will have commercial links.

Founded in the early 1950s by the Maggiali family and based in Savona, Italy, Pamfood produces traditional Ligurian speciality food products. In 2011, the firm reported a turnover of around €7m.
