
Gigas raises further $2.7m from Cabiedes et al.
Spanish technology infrastructure and cloud hosting service provider Gigas has raised $2.7m from existing backers Cabiedes & Partners, Bonsai Venture Capital and Caixa Capital Risc.
The trio backed the firm in October 2012 with a €3m funding round. Cabiedes and Bonsai initially backed Gigas in 2011 to support its launch.
The firm will use the fresh capital to continue its expansion in Latin America.
Company
Founded in 2011 and based in Madrid, Gigas offers cloud hosting solutions. The firm began operating in the Spanish market, before expanding into Colombia, Chile and Peru. Gigas has around 3,000 customers including airline Iberia and local United Nations offices.
The company’s offices are based in London and Madrid. Gigas has data centres in Madrid and Miami, with a third expected to open in Latin America this year.
