Fondo Italiano backs Megadyne
Fondo Italiano di Investimento has invested €20m in Italian belts and pulleys manufacturer Gruppo Megadyne in exchange for a minority stake.
The investment will support the international expansion of the firm into new markets.
Company
Founded in 1957 and based in Mathi, Gruppo Megadyne produces polyurethane and rubber belts, pulleys and other complementary products for a range of industrial sectors. The company has grown both organically and through acquisitions.
The company has around 1,500 employees and reported a turnover of more than €180m in 2011, 87% of which originated abroad.
