
Quadrivio, Como back D-Orbit
Quadrivio Capital and Como Venture have participated in a funding round for D-Orbit, a Milan-based developer of devices for the disposal of space debris.
The company will use the fresh funding to boost the technological development of its product.
D-Orbit intends to raise further institutional capital next year, according to local media reports.
Previous funding
In 2011, Quadrivio acquired a minority stake in the business for an undisclosed sum. The investment was completed through the vehicle TT Venture, according to unquote" data.
Company
Founded in 2010 and based in Milan, D-Orbit develops devices that enable the safe disposal of articificial satellites at the end of their lifetime. The device is installed on the satellite prior to its launch and prevents space debris from posing a threat to space activities.
