Bridgepoint halves stake in Dorna Sports
Bridgepoint has halved its stake in Spanish sports management company Dorna Sports, according to reports.
The GP is understood to have sold a 39% stake in the firm to Canada Pension Plan Investment Board, in a deal reported to value the business at around €1bn.
In 2011, Bridgepoint secured €420m of loans to extend the debt of Dorna Sports.
Previous funding
Bridgepoint bought the firm from CVC in 2006 in a competitive auction, beating rival bids from GPs including Permira, Apax Partners, Advent International, PAI partners and Lion Capital. The deal was thought to be worth around €550m.

Founded in 1988 and based in Madrid, Dorna Sports is an international sports management, marketing and media firm. The firm has held the commercial and television rights for the FIM Road Racing World Championship Grand Prix MotoGP since 1992.
Dorna Sports has further offices in Barcelona, London and Tokyo.
