
Vertis backs Blomming
Italian investor Vertis has backed social network e-commerce site Blomming.
The investment was made through the fund Vertis Venture, which holds capital commitments totalling €25m and invests between €500,000-2.5m per transaction.
The investment will support the international expansion of the firm and its development in southern Italy.
Company
Founded in 2010 and based in Naples, Blomming is an e-commerce platform that allows users to create their own online shop. Users are able to sell goods on their Facebook page, blog or website or on the Blomming site itself.
The company has been operational for more than a year, and has 6,500 users. Blomming plans to open another office in central Italy this year with a primary focus on customer care.
