
Fondo Italiano invests in Sanlorenzo
Fondo Italiano di Investimento (FII) has participated in a €30m capital increase for Italian yacht builder Sanlorenzo SpA.
€15m of the funding has been provided by FII and the fund has taken a minority stake in the company. The investor is looking to support the company in expanding and rationalising its current production structures and will look at potential acquisitions of yards or brands.
Company
Sanlorenzo is based in Ameglia and is a builder of superyachts with a size range of 19-60 meters. The company was founded in 1958 and offers clients custom-made steel, aluminium and fibreglass superyachts. It currently generates a turnover of €196m, of which 74% is generated from exports.
