Fondo Italiano makes €20m investment in TBS
Fondo Italiano di Investimento has invested €20m in integrated clinical engineering and health services provider TBS Group. The public-private government-backed vehicle has acquired a 13.17% stake in the listed company through a capital injection of €10m and a convertible loan of equal value.
The investment will underpin international expansion.

No senior debt was involved in the transaction.
Company
TBS was founded in 1987 and is based in the AREA Science Park in Trieste. The company provides services for the public and private health sector in clinical engineering, e-health and e-government.
The company's turnover has grown from €2.5m in 1991 to €190.7m in 2010. TBS operates in 13 countries and has 2,000 staff working in 26 specialist centres and more than 300 onsite laboratories.
