VCs sell Blink to Groupon
Several venture players have sold Blink Bookings, a Spanish last-minute travel app, to Groupon.
The Blink Bookings app will be rebranded as Blink by Groupon following the acquisition. It will add to the buyer's Groupon Getaways business line.
In 2012, Blink raised $2.5m from VC players and angel investors. ProFounders Capital and Ballpark Ventures were understood to have participated in the funding round. Kibo Ventures, a Spanish investor, is also among the company's backers, having entered its shareholding in late 2012.

Madrid-based Blink has developed an app that allows users to book accommodation for the same evening. Founded in 2011, Blink works with more than 2,000 hotels in eight European companies.
