
Alto Partners holds first close
Alto Partners has announced the first close of its third fund on €80m.
The private equity house has a target of €120m for the final close, expected in 6-9 months.
Investors in Alto's previous fund have been joined by new investors, including the government-backed Fondo Italiano di Investimento. Alto is currently approaching potential new investors to the fund, including national and foreign institutional investors.
Alto's second fund closed in 2007, raising €165m, and has been almost fully invested. It is expected to announce its final investment this month.
Investments
The fund will focus on investments in SMEs with turnover between €20-100m. Focus areas will include clothing retailers, the services sector and food producers.
