Ersel invests in Zoom Torino
Gruppo Ersel has invested in Italian zoological park Zoom Torino.
The €7m investment, which has given Ersel an undisclosed stake in the company, will go towards the establishment of two new habitats in the park: Madagascar and Savanna, to be opened in 2012-2013.
The capital injection, made through Ersel Investment Club, which closed at €70m in 2008, puts Ersel alongside previous investors the Casetta family and venture capital firm Strategia Italia SGR.

Zoom Torino is a zoological park based outside Turin in Northern Italy. It houses exotic animals, primarily from Africa and Asia, with the aim to recreate the animals' original habitats. It also conducts wildlife conservation research.
