
21 Investimenti backs Assicom
Italian investor 21 Investimenti has acquired B2B credit collection services firm Assicom.
The founder is to retain a significant stake in the firm. 21 Investimenti is currently investing from 21 Investimenti II, which closed on €280m in 2008. The vehicle has completed seven investments, one of which was realised in 2010.
Assicom will drive expansion through a buy-and-build strategy that will extend its product range and cross-selling potential.
Company
Founded in the early 1990s and based in Udine, Assicom offers B2B credit collection services for the recovery of trade debts in Italy and abroad. The firm also offers business information services that allow customers to assess the solvency risk of other companies.
Assicom employs around 195 members of staff and has more than 8,000 corporate clients in Italy. The company expects to generate revenues of €33m this year, with a 16% EBITDA margin.
