Clave Mayor-backed Papas Vicente Vidal buys Aperitivos Gus
Papas Vicente Vidal, a Spanish family business recently acquired by Clave Mayor and Sodena-backed APEX, has purchased 100% of snacks manufacturer Aperitivos Gus.
The acquisition will allow for the continued farming of potatoes in the south of the province of León, where the company is based, and enable the business to increase its production capacity. More than 400 jobs will also be created, turning the factory into the country's third largest production plant for snacks.
Following the deal, Vicente Vidal will have a turnover of €45m. APEX (Aperitivos y Extrusionados) produces and distributes Aspril and Abrego-branded products.
Clave Mayor and Sodena acquired Papas Vicente Vidal via a capital increase of €4.1m in February.
