Qualitas leads $14m JobAndTalent series-A
Qualitas Equity Partners has invested in recruitment site JobAndTalent's series-A funding round, alongside previous backers Kibo Ventures, FJME Ventures and several angel investors.
The fresh capital will be used to help the start-up increase brand awareness across Europe, the US and Latin America. It currently processes more than 300,000 applications a month.
Since its initial funding round last year, the company has launched in the US, expanded its internal team and released iOS and Android apps.
Previous funding
In July 2013, Spanish venture capital investor Kibo Ventures led a €2.5m seed funding round for the business. JobAndTalent aimed to increase user adoption in the UK and launch into the US and Latin America, as well as to improve the accuracy of its algorithm.
Company
Founded in 2009 and based in Madrid, JobAndTalent is a recruitment platform that uses linguistic analysis to match job seekers to vacancies. The firm's algorithm searches job adverts and job seekers' CVs to make relevant pairings. If a relevant match is found, the platform sends a message to the candidate to notify them of the vacancy.
The platform also links to the job seeker's social networks to see if the seeker has any relevant connections linking them to the perspective employer in order to facilitate an introduction.
Customers include Accenture, Morgan Stanley and L'Oréal. The company has a UK base in London, 1.75 million registered users and 35 members of staff.
People
Felipe Navio and Juan Urdiales are co-founders and co-CEOs of JobAndTalent.
