Dahlia TV (Spain) - Jan 2008

Swedish house Investor Capital Growth AB has acquired a 26.1% stake in television network Dahlia TV. The transaction was carried out through the newco Air Plus TV which owns 87% of the company’s capital and is controlled by three other financial sponsors: 2T Development (2TD) Holding (25%), Constellation Ventures (18%), Provider Venture Partners (18%), and the management team (13%). 2TD Dahlia’s Swedish shareholders approached the investor with the deal.

Company

Madrid-based Dahlia TV was established in 2007 as an independent terrestrial digital television (TDT) provider. The backer’s plan is to become one of the main paid TDT providers in the country riding on the shut down of analogous television signal by 2009 and the low penetration rate of paid TV in Spain.
