HgCapital’s TeamSystem buys H-umus
Gruppo TeamSystem, a financial management software firm owned by HgCapital, has acquired multi-touch software solutions provider H-umus for around €4m.
Venture incubator H-Farm is the company's vendor. The acquisition extends Gruppo TeamSystem's software capabilities.
In 2010, HgCapital bought TeamSystem in a €565m tertiary buyout deal from Bain Capital. The GP won an auction process run by UBS, beating competition from Cinven, Advent International, Bridgepoint, Providence Equity Partners, Apax Partners and CVC Capital Partners.
Company
Founded in 2007 and based in Treviso, H-umus has developed a software platform, Nuxie, which provides sales and marketing services for commercial networks. The company develops solutions based on Apple's iOS technology, and aims to replace traditional click and buy platforms with more interactive solutions, which also cater for the tablet market.
The company's clients include Armani, Diesel, Benetton and Nike. While the firm initially focused on clients in the fashion industry, it now aims to broaden its reach into new sectors.
The firm's headquarters will remain at the H-Farm incubator in Treviso.

Fabio Carraro is managing director of H-umus. Alex King, Kai Romberg and Nic Humphries worked on HgCapital's acquisition of Gruppo TeamSystem in 2010.
