
Intesa San Paolo backs augmented reality start-up
Intesa San Paolo has agreed to invest €2m in augmented reality specialist SpinVector.
The investment is dependent upon accomplishment of certain milestones and will be made gradually through the venture capital fund Atlante Ventures Mezzogiorno, which focuses on digital investments in southern Italy.
Investment will finance development of new multi-platform video games and entertainment products based on augmented reality and 3D.

Based in Benevento and founded in 2001 by video games developers, SpinVector provides software and hardware solutions for augmented reality, video games and 3D projection.

Head of fund Davide Turco and investment director Aurelio Mezzotero led the deal supported by the rest of the Intesa San Paolo team: Antonella Beltrame, Alvise Bonivento, Gianni De Caro, Giuseppe Gubello and Luca Binda.
