Will 2010 be another ‘lost year'?
Hopes of a sea change in private equity along with the UK economy emerging from recession are not shared by the whole industry. While a quarter of recently surveyed GPs expect deal flow to stay the same in 2010 and seven in ten expect it to increase this year, this represents an increase from historically low levels. In other words, it could hardly decline further. This was recently revealed in a poll conducted by IE Consulting on behalf of Grant Thornton.
