
Hermes makes two senior hires in London office

Asset manager Hermes GPE has appointed Sanjeev Phakey and Fidel Manolopoulos as senior investment professionals in its London office.
Phakey will focus on funds and co-investments in the EMEA region, while Manolopoulos will focus on direct growth equity investments and developing partnerships with GPs across Europe and North America.
Phakey leaves his role as investment manager at Universities Superannuation Scheme (USS) after six years with the organisation. Prior to joining USS, he spent four years at Spayne Lindsay, leaving his role as corporate finance associate in September 2011.
Fidel Manolopoulos, Hermes GPE
Manolopoulos joins the firm after a year and a half as a growth capital investor at Mojo Capital. Prior to Mojo, he worked as a director at Kennet Partners and spent six years at Viewpoint Capital Partners.
Last month, Hermes closed its third co-investment vehicle, PEC III Co-Investment Fund, on $389m, surpassing its $300m target.
