Latest round values Spotify at $1bn
The latest round of fundraising for Spotify could value the digital jukebox service at up to $1bn according to reports.
Market rumours suggest Russian Investor Digital Sky Technologies is preparing an investment which values the firm at $1bn, despite the business still being lossmaking.
Northzone ventures and Wellington Partners are both shareholders in Spotify, which allows Internet users to stream music, supported by advertising.
However, the firm's subscription-led mobile and premium service have failed to attract the number of customers many had expected, and concerns over the firm's business model have delayed a launch in the US market.
