Key Capital Partners opens London office
Key Capital Partners (KCP) has expanded its geographic reach by opening a new office in London.
The UK private equity firm was launched in 2007 with the aim to plug the "equity gap", making investments in the £1-10m range in high growth businesses. KCP is now present in four locations, Cambridge, Leeds, Birmingham and London. The latest office opening gives greater access to the Thames Valley, Solent and Gatwick regions, as well as proximity to investors and the professional community in the City of London.
KCP has appointed Gareth Evans as investment manager at the new London office. Prior to joining KCP, Evans worked for PwC's transaction services team and he will now be responsible for identifying new investment opportunities in the South East. Mike Fell, founding partner of KCP, will oversee the London and Cambridge offices.
KCP has made seven investments since closing its maiden £100m fund, with the most recent being the £5m equity investment in Dwell in August 2010.
