Clifford Chance PE head to leave for Latham & Watkins
Clifford Chance’s global private equity head David Walker is leaving the firm to join Latham & Watkins.
Walker has been a corporate partner at Clifford Chance since 2000 and has managed key relationships including that with Carlyle Group.
It is thought the move will enable Latham & Watkins, which is Carlyle's main legal adviser on its US deals, to tap into the private equity giant's UK business. Walker has notably advised Carlyle on its acquisitions of QinetiQ and RAC.
Clifford Chance's London corporate head Simon Tinkler said: "We thank David for his contribution to CC and wish him the best for the future."
Clifford Chance will appoint a successor in due course.
