Travers Smith appoints Dickson Minto's Lowe as partner
UK law firm Travers Smith has hired Dickson Minto’s Donald Lowe as a partner in its finance department.
Over the course of his career, Lowe has worked on deals for private equity clients including BC Partners, Charterhouse Capital Partners and Vitruvian Partners.
In his new role, Lowe will work on domestic and cross-border leveraged finance acquisitions and investments. He will also advise clients on their debt facilities.
The latest appointment is part of the firm's strategy to ramp up its private equity team.
Last year, Ropes & Gray poached Travers Smith's head of private equity, Phil Sanderson, appointing him as partner in its London office. Sanderson's replacement, Paul Dolman, who took over as head of the group in July, told unquote" sister title Legal Week that an increased volume of deal activity meant the firm was looking to expand the number of partners in the team.
