Foresight Environmental Fund launched
Foresight Group is to manage a new £200m fund to focus on waste and recycling in London.
The Foresight Environmental Fund has already secured £35m from the London Green Fund, a European Investment Bank-managed vehicle, and another £35m from other investors, including local authority pension funds across the UK.
The Fund was launched by London mayor Boris Johnson in an effort to provide greener waste and recycling facilities for London, which he calls a ‘low-carbon financial centre' in a statement.
The London Green Fund is a £100m holding fund managed by the EIB with funding from the London Development Agency, the London Waste and Recycling Board and the European Regional Development Fund.
