
Penta bags GRS Group in £18m deal
Penta Capital Partners has led the management buyout of GRS Group. The total deal value was £18m which included £5.25m of receivables and acquisition finance provided by Investec Growth & Acquisition Finance.
Penta Capital was impressed by the company's proven strong leadership, positive niche focus and an attractive geographic spread across growth markets. The deal allowed the company founders to exit the business. GRS Group plans to expand further in the UK and internationally through its network.
GRS Group was founded in 2002 and is headquartered in Brighton. It is an international recruitment consultancy and focuses on senior manager and director levels within the risk, legal, and tax markets and also provides interim staff. Each consultant specialises in one particular function within a single industry sector.
The company has six additional offices in Hong Kong, London, Munich, New York, Paris and Zurich.
Mark Phillips led the deal for Penta with support from Michael Schirpenhuijsen. James Cullen led the deal for Investec, Gary Edwards and Paul Craig worked with him. Ken Brotherson is the CEO of GRS Group. (Page 36).
