Pinsent Masons appoints head of Glasgow office

Law firm Pinsent Masons has promoted partner Barry McCaig to head of office in Glasgow.
McCaig takes over from Fraser McMillan, who has been appointed head of Pinsent Masons' global construction practice.
McCaig joined UK law firm McGrigors 14 years ago, prior to its 2012 merger with Pinsent Masons. He specialises in corporate finance including mergers and acquisitions, private equity and joint ventures.
In his new role, McCaig will be responsible for strengthening the firm's position in Glasgow and the central belt, while expanding its focus on the global energy, infrastructure, financial services, manufacturing and technology sectors.
Earlier this year, McCaig acted as adviser to TDR and Sun Capital in their £400m acquisition of Keepmoat from Lloyds Banking Group. He studied law at the University of Glasgow.
Since its merger with McGrigors, Pinsent Masons has opened offices in Paris and Munich. Its Glasgow office has a headcount of 280.
