
CD&R seals £417m buyout of BTG
Clayton Dubilier & Rice (CD&R) has agreed to acquire material testing business Bodycote Testing Group (BTG) from Bodycote plc in a deal valued at approximately £417m.
The investor was interested in BTG because of its diverse customer base in resilient industries and the many locations the business is represented in the world. BTG provides technical and engineering services to the aerospace, energy, oil & gas, civil engineering, transportation, pharmaceutical, food, consumer products and medical devices industries. BTG operates more than 130 laboratories across 25 countries worldwide. Fred Kindle, a CD&R operating partner, will serve as chairman of BTG.
