Blackstone Group opens Paris office ..

Blackstone Group has opened an office in Paris, and appointed Jean-Michel Steg as senior managing director. Steg joins Blackstone from Citigroup where he has been head of banking for France and Belgium for the past five years.

With the local presence in France, Blackstone's seeks to expand its international corporate M&A services as well as its restructuring advisory network.

The team in Paris will report to Blackstone's European headquarters in London.
