Electra-backed Elian appoints Connolly as group chairman

Elian Fund Services, a financial services provider, has appointed G4S chairman and former Deloitte global chairman John Connolly as group chairman.
Connolly will continue in his role leading security company G4S, which he joined in 2012 after spending most of his 44-year career at Deloitte. He is also currently chairman of oil & gas engineering company Amec Foster Wheeler.
Before leaving Deloitte, Connolly spent five years as global chairman of the business and three terms as CEO of its UK operations.
Elian, formerly Ogier Fiduciary Services, rebranded in September following the Electra-backed MBO from its parent Ogier Group in April.
Last month the firm promoted Alex Di Santo to associate director of its Jersey-based fund services team, focusing on private equity, venture capital and mezzanine funds.
