More UK firms to turn to private equity for funding
Companies are increasingly likely to turn to private equity for funding in the next 18-24 months, according to A survey conducted by Investec Growth & Acquisition Finance.
34% of respondents, all of which represented UK businesses with an enterprise value of more than £10m, suggested they would approach private equity, while only 24% would look to the debt markets and 3% would use the public markets. In addition, a majority of 61% answered that they would need to raise additional capital to grow. There was also a strong indication that many firms would be keen to make bolt-on acquisitions in the next two years.
