Finance Wales et al. launch £150m fund to support Welsh SMEs
Finance Wales, the Welsh Assembly Government and the European Investment Bank have launched a new £150m commercial investment fund to support the growth of businesses in Wales. The fund will focus on investing in small- to medium-sized growing businesses throughout Wales.
The new fund is the first of its kind in the UK to use funding from the European Investment Bank's JEREMIE (Joint European Resources or Micro to Medium Enterprises) project. The fund will also use £60m of further capital from the European Regional Development Fund.
