SJ Berwin goes East

SJ Berwin has announced plans to open a new office in Hong Kong covering China and East Asia, which will be headed up by new managing partner Daniel Liew.

In addition to Liew, the new practice will comprise two partners, Peter Tse and Hans Thomas Kessler, and one consultant, Giovanna Kwong. The team will initially focus on fund formation, private equity, corporate, M&A, real estate, energy, infrastructure and litigation.

The new office will mark SJ Berwin's first foray outside Europe and is the firm's 10th location in total.
