Mosaic backs $8m seed round for Infosum
Mosaic Ventures has joined an $8m seed round for Basingstoke-based data management company Infosum.
Mosaic and Saul Klein of LocalGlobe are providing an extra €5m for the round, which originally closed on $3m in February 2016.
Upfront Ventures and IA Ventures backed the original round along with Saul Klein.
The new money will be used to recruit for the senior management team as well as bring the first products to market.
Company
Founded in 2015 and based in Basingstoke, Infosum provides a data management service to its clients. It aims to integrate siloed data sets and give its customers access to them through its own cloud-based management software. It claims to eliminate privacy risk by anonymising distributed data at the source.
