Parkwalk leads £6m series-A for Bodle Technologies
Parkwalk Advisors has led a ТЃ6m series-A funding round for Bodle Technologies, a UK-based producer of low-powered video displays for wearable technology and portable devices.
New investor Woodford Patient Capital Trust also took part in the round alongside existing backers Oxford Sciences Innovation and the Oxford Technology and Innovations EIS Fund.
The fresh capital will enable the business to scale up its operations and advance to the prototype stage of development.
Previous funding
Parkwalk Advisors and Oxford Sciences Innovation led a seed capital funding round for Bodle in November 2015.
Company
Founded in 2015 as a spin-out from Oxford University and headquartered in Begbroke, Bodle produces reflective video displays for wearable technology, Internet-of-Things devices and e-readers. Its products are designed to use less energy than traditional LCD and OLED (organic LED) screens and reflect light, leading to an experience that is more akin to reading from paper.
