
BGF invests £6.5m in Kids Planet
BGF has provided UK-based nursery school operator Kids Planet with £6.5m in follow-on funding.
The fresh funding will enable the business to invest in new nurseries across the north of England, with sites in Great Sankey, Hoylake, Manchester and Ellenbrook already in the pipeline.
Since the GP first invested in the company, almost two years ago, Kids Planet has expanded its number of locations from 17 to 23. Most recently it opened sites in Preston, Stockport, Billinge and Swinton.
Previous funding
BGF invested £10m in Kids Planet in August 2016, with the capital earmarked for the opening of five new nurseries across the UK.

Established in 2008 and headquartered in Lymm, Kids Planet is a nursery school operator. According to publicly available documents, the company generated turnover of £13.1m in the year ending in March 2017, with EBITDA of £2.9m.
