
Smedvig leads £9.5m series-B for Poq
Smedvig Capital has led a £9.5m series-B funding round for Poq, a British developer of e-commerce apps.
Existing investors Beringea and Revolt Ventures also took part in the round, which will fund the company's expansion into the US market, where it plans to launch an office.
As part of the deal, Poq has hired former Just Giving chairperson Jonathan McKay as its new chair.

Beringea led a $4m series-A funding round for Poq in July 2016.
Company
Founded in 2011 and headquartered in London, Poq develops e-commerce apps. Its software also tracks users' behaviour, both in-app and in-store, to inform retailers' strategy.
Poq's clients include House of Fraser, Missguided, Holland & Barrett and Made.com. The company said in a statement that its revenues have grown by 400% since its series-A funding round. Around 20% of its revenues are accounted for by US sales.
