Hg’s Cogital buys Westleton Drake
Hg-backed Cogital Group has acquired UK business advisory firm Westleton Drake.
The transaction is a bolt-on for the group's UK division, Blick Rothenberg, to expand its support for US businesses coming to the UK. It comes four months after Baldwins, another UK division of Cogital, acquired Rawlinsons, and seven months after Blick Rothenberg acquired accountancy and business advisory firm Shelley Stock Hutter.
The deal brings the total number of Cogital offices to 128 in 60 countries.
Cogital is a tax and advisory practice, created by Hg with the acquisition of Blick Rothenberg in August 2016. The group consists of Azets Group in the Nordic region, and Baldwins and Blick Rothenberg in the UK.
Company
Westleton Drake was founded in 2009 by Daniel Hyde and is headquartered in London. The firm provides tax advice to high-net-worth US families and other overseas nationals in the UK.
