Marcorp leads $20m round for PaySend
Investment firm Marcorp Financial has led a $20m funding round for UK-based payments service PaySend.
Existing investor Digital Space Ventures also participated in the latest round. With the fresh funding, PaySend plans to roll out additional services as it focuses on global growth.
According to PaySend, it has seen a threefold increase in its customer base over the past six months, claiming to have created the first integrated B2B and B2C global payments business. PaySend operates three businesses – Global Transfers, Global Account and Global Processing.
Company
Founded in 2015 and headquartered in London, PaySend offers global payments technologies. It has developed a money transfer platform that enables users to send funds from card to card from 40 countries to 60 countries.
The company offers global transfers, accounts and processing services via the 16-digit Visa or MasterCard number, charging £1, €1.50 or $2 per transfer.
