Mosaic leads $4.6m series-A for Lyvly
Mosaic Ventures has led a $4.6m series-A funding round for London-based startup Lyvly.
Unquote understands that the firm's co-founder and partner Simon Levene will join Lyvly's board to support the company's management in this new phase of expansion.
Greg Marsh, who co-founded hospitality startup Onefinestay, also took part in the investment and joined the company as chair.
Mosaic Ventures deployed capital from its $140m fund, which held a final close in September 2014. The vehicle provides series-A funding rounds and targets European technology startups operating in the fintech, e-commerce, education and healthcare industries. In addition, Unquote understands that Mosaic is raising a second fund with a target of $150m.
The startup plans to use the investment to scale up its marketing and sales teams, grow its London operations and further develop its product offering. Subsequently, Lyvly intends to expand into cities like New York, Berlin, Los Angeles, Austin, Paris and Madrid.
