BGF injects £7.5m into Purity Brewing Co
BGF has invested £7.5m in Purity Brewing Co, a Warwickshire-based independent brewery.
BGF's investment will be used to support the brewery's plans to expand across the UK, grow export sales and develop new products.
The founders will continue to lead the business, with BGF's Paul Oldham joining the board of Purity.
BGF makes long-term investments for a minority, non-controlling stake in the companies it backs. Last month, the investor supplied £10m to Mission Mars, the operator of a number of food and drink venues in the north-west of the UK.
Company
Founded in 2005 and headquartered in Great Alne, Warwickshire, Purity makes beers including Pure Gold, Pure Ubu, Mad Goose, Lawless Lager and Longhorn IPA. Around a quarter of its sales are to Midlands-based independent pubs.
