Reach, Kindred in $11m series-A funding for Mrs Wordsmith
VC firms Reach Capital and Kindred Venture Capital have backed London-based Mrs Wordsmith, an illustrated and animated vocabulary programme, in an $11m series-A funding round.
The round was led by growth equity investor Trustbridge Partners, with the participation of VC firms Reach Capital and Kindred Venture Capital.
The latest round of funding will allow the company to expand its product range with the addition of a new animated vocabulary game and video in early 2019.
In total, Mrs Wordsmith has raised $14.5m to date, including a seed round and the current series-A.
Company
Launched in 2016, Mrs Wordsmith is based in London and offers illustrated and animated vocabulary programmes. It launched its US store in June this year, which now accounts for 85% of its revenue.
