
Octopus leads £4.5m SimplyCook series-A
Octopus Investments has led a £4.5m series-A for SimplyCook, a UK-based meal kit firm.
The capital will be invested in technology, sales and marketing, as well as international launches, according to Tech Crunch. The fund has received a small of amount of previous funding from several VCs including Maxfield Capital, 500 Startups and Episode 1.
Company
Established in 2014 and based in London and Kent, SimplyCook creates recipe kits that are delivered to its subscribers. The firm has also started selling its kits through retail stores.
