
VCs in $12m series-A for Polystream
Intel Capital has led a $12m series-A funding round for cloud streaming company Polystream.
Existing investors Initial Capital and London Venture Partners, as well as Lauder Partners and new strategic investor Wargaming, participated in the round.
The venture capital arm of Intel Corporation has invested $12.4bn since 1991.
London Venture Partners closed its LVP Seed Fund I on $8m in July 2014. The fund focuses on digital game startups in Europe with initial investments of $50,000-500,000.
The fresh capital will be used for recruitment, marketing and the development of Polystream's cloud technology. It is likely to compete with Google's games streaming platform Stadia, which was unveiled in March 2019.
Previous funding
London Venture Partners was the sole investor in a seed round for the company in 2015. In 2016, London Venture Partners and Initial Capital raised $1.5m for the company.
