
Battery leads $35m round for Matillion
Battery Ventures has led a $35m series-C funding round for Matillion, a UK-headquartered developer of cloud-based data software.
Existing backers Sapphire Ventures, YFM Equity Partners and Scale Venture Partners also took part in the round, with the fresh capital being earmarked for marketing activity and product development.
According to a statement issued by Matillion, the company has generated "triple-digit revenue growth" in each of the last three years.
The latest round brings the total amount raised by the company to $60m.
Previous funding
YFM backed Matillion with $5m in a series-A in 2016. Sapphire then led a $20m series-B for the company in May 2018, with YFM and Scale also taking part in the round.

Founded in Manchester in 2011, Matillion is a developer of cloud-based data management software that provides extract-transform-load (ETL) services. The business has 550 customers – including Bose, GE, Siemens, Fox, Accenture and Vistaprint – across 40 countries.
