
Mobeus leads $11m series-A for Active Navigation
UK-based Mobeus has led a $11m series-A funding round for data privacy software developer Active Navigation.
Mobeus partner Trevor Hope will join the board of the company.
The ScaleUp Group, a network of technology entrepreneurs, provided guidance to Active Navigation's management team as they negotiated the fundraise.
Active Navigation now plans to open offices in New York and Los Angeles, launch a new privacy-orientated software-as-a-service product, increase headcount, and expand its network of technology and service partners.

Dual-headquartered in Winchester, UK, and Reston, the US, Active Navigation is a data privacy and governance software company. Its product suite is designed to enable enterprises and government entities to map, clean, classify, quarantine and delete redundant, obsolete and trivial data. Clients include BAE Systems, the United States Marine Corps and Voya Financial.
The company was founded in 2008 and has offices in Europe and Australia. It employs 60 staff, according to Owler.
