Peakon raises €4m from Idinvest and Sunstone
Peakon, an employee engagement software developer with headquarters in London and Copenhagen, has secured €4m in funding from VC duo Idinvest Partners and Sunstone Capital.
The funds were raised in parallel with Peakon's official launch worldwide. The startup will dedicate the capital to its operations both in London and Copenhagen: the former location will be strengthened from a commercial standpoint, while the latter will boost its product development capacities.
The business, which had initially secured €1m from European and US entrepreneurs such as Gumtree's Dough Monro, will showcase its people analytics software during a roadshow in London, Berlin and Paris in March 2016.
As part of the changes, Idinvest's Guillaume Durao will join Peakon's executive board. On 22 January, a week after recruiting Emmanuelle Pierret as investment director, Idinvest joined Ventech for a €6.6m series-A for French search marketing analytics specialist Botify.
Company
Founded by Kasper Hulthin, Christian Holm, Phil Chambers and Dan Rogers in December 2014, Peakon develops software allowing HR teams to boost employee engagement and learning. With headquarters in both London and Copenhagen, the business employed 12 staff as of December 2015.
