Bridges, IVUK inject £1.5m into Unforgettable
Bridges Ventures and Impact Ventures UK (IVUK) have taken part in a ТЃ1.5m round to launch Unforgettable, a website and e-commerce platform supporting those living with dementia.
The two investors provided capital alongside the business's management to work towards a launch of the platform in September this year.
Bridges invested via its Social Sector funds while IVUK drew capital from its social-impact investment vehicle.
According to the investors, Unforgettable founder James Ashwell approached Bridges' Social Sector Funds team at the end of 2013. Ashwell and Bridges worked together on developing the idea, incubating the business, and raising the capital required over the following months. Unforgettable was originally seed-funded by the Bridges Charitable Trust.

Unforgettable has been set up as a website and e-commerce platform to support those living with dementia and their carers. The site will offer information on the illness and how to manage the care burden, as well as products and services to deal with dementia on a day-to-day basis, such as activities and games.
People
Caroline Tulloch led the deal for Bridges, while Raf Goovaerts represented IVUK. James Ashwell is the founder of Unforgettable.
