
Primary backs MBO of GatenbySanderson
Primary Capital has backed the management buyout of UK-based executive recruitment firm GatenbySanderson from founder Graham Goodwin.
The business is currently expanding its operations within the education and not-for-profit sectors. GatenbySanderson will also look to expand through the development of new products and the broadening of its public services coverage.
Following the transaction, managing partners Mark Turner and Martin Tucker will continue to lead the company.

Yorkshire Bank provided senior debt and banking facilities for the transaction.

Headquartered in London and founded in 2003, GatenbySanderson is a recruitment firm specialising in the headhunting of chief executives, senior management teams and non-executive board members across public sector and not-for-profit organisations. The business has offices in Leeds, London and Brimingham with a total headcount of 90 people.

Alistair Armstrong and Oliver Melliss led the deal for Primary and will join the board of GatenbySanderson as non-executive directors. Mark Turner and Martin Tucker are managing partners at Primary.
