Top Technology and Ora invest £2m in Oxehealth
Top Technology Ventures and Ora Capital Partners have injected ТЃ2m into Oxehealth, an Oxford-based developer of software for monitoring vital signs.
Top Technology, the venture arm of investment firm IP Group, invested via its IP Venture Fund II, which launched in May last year with £30m in capital. The European Investment Fund provided a £20m commitment to the fund with IP supplying the balance.
Oxehealth chairman Allan Wood and CEO Jonathan Chevallier also took part in the funding round. Both are existing backers of the company.
The fresh capital will be used by Oxehealth to further develop its core technology, as well as finance the development of prototypes and new applications.
Company
Oxehealth span out from the University of Oxford's Institute of Biomedical Engineering in 2012. The company is developing its Oxecam clinical software, which is designed to allow a tablet, digital camera or smartphone to monitor a person's vital signs.

Jonathan Chevallier is the CEO of Oxehealth. Richard Griffiths is the executive chairman of Ora.
